Sudbury Senior Center hosts next session of Comfort Food Caring Cafe on Monday, April 4
By Douglas Flynn / March 31, 2017
Pleasantries Adult Day and Consulting Services and the Sudbury Senior Center, along with co-sponsors Traditions of Wayland and Right at Home, have teamed up to provide support to those caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's or another dementia with a monthly memory café.

"The Comfort Food Caring Café" will hold its next session, which includes a provided lunch, this coming Monday, April 4, from 12-2 p.m. at the Senior Center (40 Fairbank Road, Sudbury).

These Cafés offer an opportunity for people caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s or other dementia a chance to get some needed relief while still spending time with your loved one and other caregivers in a relaxed and welcoming setting. The Cafés encourage socialization with other caregivers and loved ones where you can just be yourself. It provides an opportunity to get out with your loved one and have an enjoyable morning or afternoon.

There is no cost to participate in the program, which is open to anyone at any stage of the disease process who is accompanied by friends, family and loved ones.

The Café is facilitated by Sudbury Senior Center Group Specialist Anne Manning, LMHC and Pleasantries Owner and Director Tammy Pozerycki, CADDCT, CDP. Please RSVP by calling 978-443-3055.
