BayPath adds the role of Social Media Coordinator and fills the open role of Caregiver Specialist

Social Media Coordinator

Hi! I am Debra McDonagh, and I am excited to hold the newly created role of Social Media Coordinator for BayPath Elder Services and CareGivingMetroWest.org.  I will be maintaining our website, revving up our social media posts, pulling together key happenings here at BayPath to share with you in our newsletter, and will be managing our blog by writing and collecting interesting stories, facts, and tips on caregiving.

Having had a personal experience as a family caregiver, I am gratified to know that in a small way, I can both assist older adults and caregivers through my efforts to maintain the resources on our website and by posting useful information on how we can support your journey.

I am available through our Facebook pages (@BayPathElderService and @caregivingmetrowest), or here at our offices, to answer questions or take suggestions as to the type of posts you would be interested in! Feel free to reach me by phone at 508-573-7204 or by email at dmcdonagh@baypath.org.

Caregiver Specialist

I would also like to introduce my co-worker, Karen Trilligan, who has recently assumed the role of Caregiver Specialist. Karen began working at BayPath in 2013; first as a temp in our Home Care Department and, after completing her Bachelor Degree in psychology with honors, she returned full-time and assumed the role of Geriatric Support Services Coordinator, in BayPath’s Senior Care Options Department.

When asked why Karen made the switch to take over the Caregiver Specialist Role, she shared the following: “I found that the part of my job that I loved the most was having one-on-one conversations with the consumers, offering a listening ear, and providing them with guidance that was specific to their individual situation. I work with great compassion and empathy, and I feel that those traits combined with my education, training, and experience will enhance my role as a Caregiver Specialist by enabling me to provide a level of support that will provide a significant and positive impact to a caregiver’s journey.”

Karen and her husband have four children ages 5-23, and as an ardent traveler she is fluent in French, loves all things “Paris” and says that Italy is high up on her list of next places to visit. Karen can be reached at 508-573-7239 or at ktrilligan@baypath.org.
