CAREGIVING CHRONICLES

Information and resources that support your role in caring for a loved one.

Advocates will be offering its CareGiver Telephone Connections, a telephone support group for caregivers of older adults, again next month.

The free, 12-week program will open its next session on February 25 and meetings will be held on Wednesdays from 6:30-7:45 p.m. The support group meetings are all conducted by telephone in a conference call setting, allowing caregivers who might not otherwise be able to participate in a support group to get some needed support and communication with fellow caregivers from the comfort of their own home.

The program allows caregivers to connect with others who are experiences the ups and downs of caregiving, decrease their stress, improve their own health and create a system to solve problems as they arise.

Advocates is a Framingham-based human services organization that offers services for family caregivers among its programs.

Registration is required to participate in the CareGiver Telephone Connections program. To sign up or to learn more about the program, contact Nancy King-Bolger, LICSW at 508-808-8376 or nking-b@advocates.org.
