Golden Pond Assisted Living in Hopkinton is offering a support group for people caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s or another form of dementia.
The groups meets on the third Thursday of each month from 5-6 p.m. in the Ice House Pub Lounge of the Golden Pond Lodge (50 West Main Street, Hopkinton, MA). Meetings in 2016 will fall on January 21, February 18, March 17, April 21, May 19, June 16, July 21, August 18, September 15, October 20, November 17 and December 15.
The support groups strives to create a safe, supportive and confidential setting for sharing feelings, ideas and concerns with respect to the unique issues of each stage of the dementia process. Meetings are free of charge, open to the public and handicapped accessible. Light refreshments will be served.
Newcomers are welcome to join and can leave at any time. The group is open to the Hopkinton community and surrounding towns and designed for individuals who care for someone in the mid-late stages of Alzheimer’s and related dementia.
