Do you know someone with Alzheimer`s or another form of dementia? Would you like to help them live a full and safe life in our community?
A grass roots effort is being initiated to understand the needs of our community and implement changes that will enrich the lives of those living with Alzheimer’s/dementia.
Join us for an informational meeting on Tuesday, January 12 at 7 p.m. at the Northborough Senior Center (119 Bearfoot Road, Northborough, MA).
Northborough, along with Marlborough and Hudson, is piloting a new program with BayPath Elder Services, Inc. and funding from the MetroWest Health Foundation to create dementia-friendly communities. A dementia-friendly community is informed, safe, and respectful of individuals with dementia and their families and caregivers, and provides supportive options that foster quality of life and help them remain part of the fabric of the community itself.
