The Natick Community-Senior Center is offering a Powerful Tools for Caregivers course this fall.

Powerful Tools for Caregivers is an educational program designed to help caregivers take care of themselves while caring for a relative or friend. You will benefit from this class whether you are helping a parent, spouse, friend, someone who lives at home or across the country.

The six-week curriculum has been shown to help caregivers improve self-care behaviors, management of emotions, self-confidence and the use of community resources. The class includes interactive lessons, discussions and brainstorming.

Powerful Tools for Caregivers is an evidence-based education program offering a unique combination of elements. Through numerous collaborations with health and human service organizations across the country the program has reached over 70,000 family caregivers. Powerful Tools for Caregivers is a program you can count on to make a positive difference in your life.

An information session is scheduled for September 12, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. The six-week class series will meet once a week on Wednesdays from 5:30-7 p.m., beginning October 3, 2018. Both the information session and classes will be held at the Natick Community-Senior Center, 117 East Central Street, Natick. The class is being offered free of charge.
