State Senator Karen Spilka’s 2014 Senior Health and Wellness Fair will be held on Saturday, Oct. 18 from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Joseph P. Keefe Technical School (750 Winter Street, Framingham, MA).
Among the highlights of the fair are informational booths on resources, services and organizations for older adults and two sessions of presentations at 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. A demonstration of CaregivingMetroWest.org and discussion of the features of this online resource will be among the presentations in both sessions.
Flu shots and cholesterol, glucose, blood pressure and osteoporosis screenings will also be available.
Registration is at 9 a.m. at the fountain Street entrance of the school.
Coffee and a continental breakfast will be served in the cafeteria, along with a lunch that includes salad, chicken breast and dessert. The Golden Tones Chorus will perform at noon.
