Virtual Dementia Tour offers chance to better understand Alzheimer’s
The Constance Rose House in Wayland and Century Health Systems are presenting a unique educational opportunity to better understand Alzheimer`s disease and related dementia.
On June Tuesday, June 9, the Constance Rose House Social/Supportive Adult Day Program will host a “Virtual Dementia Tour” from 2-5 p.m. at 8 Wampum Path, Wayland, MA.
A simulation that mimics the cognitive and physical effects of dementia, the Virtual Dementia Tour will enable participants to learn what it’s like to live with dementia, macular degeneration, arthritis and more.
The Virtual Dementia Tour was designed to reflect physical conditions like hearing loss, central peripheral vision, sensory nerve damage and fine motor skills decline, as well as the onset of arthritis and neuropathy. Attending this workshop will transform your sympathy to empathy.
The event is free to attend, but reservations are required. To reserve space, call Kara Harvey at 508-545-8001 or email her at kara@constancerosehouse.net. Please RSVP by June 3. RSVPs will be honored on a first come/first served basis.
