Welcome to Caregiving MetroWest.

And thank you for visiting our site. I hope it’s just one of many visits you will make, and that coming to caregivingmetrowest.org becomes part of your regular routine.

With generous funding from the MetroWest Health Foundation, we have spent the past 18 months researching the needs of area family caregivers in MetroWest and assembling as much information as possible to help in some small way with the daunting duties you may face in caring for a loved one.

Our InfoCenter contains extensive information on all aspects of caregiving, and I encourage you to check it out for the help you may need. And check back often, as that section will be regularly updated and expanded.

There is also a robust collection of resources to aid in your caregiving role. Feel free to try out our interactive map for resources in your town or any of the 25 MetroWest communities this program serves. Those resources and more are also listed by type, so you can explore options throughout the region in nearly 20 different categories.

If you’re not sure exactly what you need, try our assessment tool – the Caregiver Concierge. That will guide you around the site to the information and resources you are seeking.

There’s also a discussion forum where you can connect with fellow caregivers to discuss issues surrounding the care of your loved one or any other topic.

And then there’s this blog. This will also be a source of frequently updated information. Check back for regular posts analyzing important news or trends in the caregiving world, in-depth interviews with experts in fields related to caregiving and announcements of new programs, resources or events of interest to MetroWest caregivers.

That last item is one that I’ll need your help with. I’ll pass on all the important news I come across, but there’s a lot going on across our 25 communities. That’s great that there are more resources and events for caregivers being introduced all the time. But that also makes keeping track of everything a challenge.

So drop me a note if you have an announcement and if it’s relevant to area caregivers it’ll find a home here in a post on the blog.

We hope that by collecting all of this information and these resources and interactive features in one place we will help you at least in some small way in the vital care you are giving to your loved ones.
