New focus for the Wellness Wall

A Fresh Approach to Provide Insight and Info for Caregivers!
There are so many facets of caring for a loved one that it is easy to have conflicted feelings or get overwhelmed. When left unchecked, negative emotions can leave us feeling guilty (“It is my parent, I am SUPPOSED to help, right?”), insecure (“Am I doing enough?”), and isolated (“Will anyone understand what I am going through?”).

In addition to our supportive resource listings, CaregivingMetroWest.org is here to help you with these feelings. And guess what?
You are not alone, others do feel the same way, and you are enough!

Our Wellness Wall now has a new look and a new focus: Self-care is NOT Selfish.
Check back often for regular posts and updates focused on STAYING HEALTHY AS A FAMILY CAREGIVER!

Physical self-care: Tips on finding the time to eat well, rest, keep doctors’ appointments, exercise.
Mental well-being: How to avoid burnout by reducing stress, fatigue, anxiety, guilt, loneliness.
Spiritual fitness: Ways to help yourself believe that you are enough, you’re doing the best you can, and it is ok to ask for help.
